Once-daily dosing

FARXIGA can be initiated in adults with an eGFR as low as 25 mL/min/1.73 m2

  • FARXIGA may be taken with or without food1
  • Assess volume status and correct volume depletion before initiating FARXIGA1
  • Assess renal function prior to initiation of FARXIGA therapy and then as clinically indicated1
  • If eGFR decreases below 25 mL/min/1.73 m2, FARXIGA 10 mg may be continued to reduce the risk of eGFR decline, ESKD, CV death, and hospitalization for heart failure1

FARXIGA is not recommended for use to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with an eGFR less than 45 mL/min/1.73 m2. FARXIGA is likely to be ineffective in this setting based upon its mechanism of action.1
